Christine “Misfit” Ferea was born in San Jose, California, United States. Her nickname “Misfit” fits her youth as a tough streetfighting kid. She signed up at a gym in the hope to get fit, and after she was humbled by many fighters there, she started Muay Thai training and deeply honed her skills to become the incredible fighter we see today.

“Misfit” achieved a record of 13-0 in amateur Muay Thai, and 1-0 professionally. She later transitioned to MMA where she scored a respected record of 3-0 in amateur mixed martial arts career from 2012 to 2015, fighting under King of the Cage (KOTC), Tuff-N-Uff, and Dragon House, prior to being signed by Invicta where she’s 1-0 at the time of this writing.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU AS A FIGHTER?

I love every aspect of fighting from preparation to fight night. I like to see how strong or weak my mind and body are and push myself to the limit. Knowing someone is preparing to destroy me in any way possible makes me push harder than anything I’ve ever done in my life. I fight for myself and my family to see we are more than our past and we will overcome and conquer that is my greatest motivator.

WHAT PROFESSION OTHER THAN YOUR OWN WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEMPT AND WHY?

I would love to work with the young and even adults that struggle to find their way in life. It’s always been a passion of mine and my long term goal to have a facility of some type.

IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, WHO WOULD YOU MEET AND WHY?

I would love to meet Mike Tyson. His life was crazy and he seemed to overcome so much, it would be cool to know how he went about that.

Christine Ferea’s walk-out song written for her is “Misfit” by ‘Playboy The Beast’
